City Spotlight on Sarasota
We’re excited to introduce you to Sarasota, the jewel of Florida’s Gulf Coast and the town Permacast Precast Concrete Fencing & Walls calls home. We began our business here and have since made many connections throughout the area, as we continue to build our community- literally!- from the ground up. There’s so much to see and do in Sarasota, and so many reasons for us to be a cornerstone in the contracting industry here, that we’re just going to highlight a few things that make Sarasota unique. Here’s why we’re here and why we’ll stay.

Ringling Museum Courtyard
Arts Community
Sarasota, more than any other area in Florida, is known most for its thriving arts community. From The Ringling Museum and its vast collection of European art to the new Sarasota Art Museum, featuring modern art housed in the historic and newly renovated Sarasota High School, the visual art scene is only the beginning. Performing arts are a staple throughout the Sarasota community, as well. Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and Florida Studio Theatre are just a few of the many venues around town. Sarasota also boasts the Sarasota Opera House and The Sarasota Ballet, as well as The Circus Arts Conservatory. Multiple festivals are held in Sarasota each year, the most famous of which is the Sarasota Film Festival. This hotspot for visual and performing arts is truly unique and we are honored to participate in building a foundation for this artistic community.

Ca’d Zan Sarasota
Architecture
Along with the museums and theaters that house great art, Sarasota also boasts another form of artistic expression in the architecture found here. Much of Sarasota’s Italian, specifically Venetian, style is due to the influence of the Ringling Museum and the Ca d’Zan. Around town, it’s not unusual to find houses, businesses, and statues echoing the Spanish and Italian influences that the Ringlings brought to the area when they made it their home. There are also multiple buildings on the historic register, including the Sarasota County Courthouse, the Municipal Auditorium, and Sarasota High School (now Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College). The Sarasota School of Architecture brings a lot of focus to the area’s historic buildings as well as more modern structures. Permacast delights in providing beautiful and customized precast concrete pieces that can be installed quickly and efficiently as needed to new and renovated structures in Sarasota.

Sarasota, FL
Weather
Weather is always a concern for contractors and Sarasota has its fair share of inclement weather. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, hurricanes and tornadoes are a regular concern, as well as the intense heat and humidity summer months bring. Fortunately, Permacast knows how to create precast concrete that won’t crack, crumble or fade in strong weather conditions. Because we’re from this area, we know what it takes to build a precast concrete fence or wall that sustains high winds and pounding rain, and we’re ready for anything!
